Science and technology evolve by the millisecond. A Master of Science degree in Material Sciences and Engineering will let you innovate across multiple fields, not just keep up with them.

In this online degree program, your goals take priority. You’ll customize your own curriculum and learn from experts in fields such as microelectronic processing, ceramics and polymers, and computational materials, just to name a few. What’s more, the “signature course” elective format enables you to enhance your existing skills and fine-tune your focus, so you can meet — and then exceed — your personal and professional objectives.

Students may transfer up to six units completed at other institutions accredited for graduate work. Correspondence courses will not be accepted for graduate credit. Compatibility of course credits for application within the MSE Online Master of Science will be determined by the department through an approved plan of study. The cumulative grade point average required for graduation is 3.00, based upon courses taken toward the advanced degree. Students must complete degree requirements within 6 years of total elapsed time from the point of admission.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s in a science or engineering field.
