Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses and anesthesia professionals. Our Nurse Anesthesia program is a specialty within the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Practice-focused doctoral programs are centered upon professional practice that is innovative and evidence-based, reflecting the application and implementation of credible research findings.
The nurse anesthesia specialty blends online, face-to-face (several required trainings and orientations), and clinical residency learning within 36 months of full-time study. Students enrolled in the nurse anesthesia curriculum receive a broad foundation of educational preparation for the full-scope of anesthesia practice across the lifespan, nursing theories and nursing research methods.
