Social Behavior and Human Understanding provides students with a basis for understanding social systems and the interactions of individuals and societies. The knowledge of human behavior, history, culture, ethics, and communication gained with a Bachelor of General Studies with a concentration in Social Behavior and Human Understanding forms a solid foundation for a variety of careers. A graduate in the Social Behavior and Human Understanding concentration could work in human services, program coordination, public relations, or marketing. This concentration is also good preparation for work and further studies in health care, legal services, public policy, and public health. General Studies, like many majors, teaches content and skills that can be applied to a wide variety of career fields.
