The online Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Human Performance combines nutrition science, exercise physiology, and applied health strategies to prepare students for careers in athletics, wellness, and graduate-level health programs.
Through courses in sports nutrition, metabolic testing, body composition assessment, and exercise prescription, you’ll build practical skills grounded in evidence-based research. You’ll also learn how to design exercise and nutrition strategies, evaluate human performance data, and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Taught by experienced faculty and researchers in nutrition and kinesiology, this fully online program offers the flexibility to earn your degree while gaining the same rigorous academic preparation and professional mentorship available to on-campus students. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in athletic training, strength and conditioning, wellness coaching, and related health fields, or continue into graduate and professional programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and physician assistant studies.

This course will introduce students to basic concepts in nutrition and exercise science. Course content will focus on the effects of nutrition and exercise on human health and performance and will include topics such as basic anatomy and physiology, nutrition and exercise science, nutrition and exercise assessments, and evidence-based research.
Students learn how to apply the concepts of exercise physiology and nutritional science to complete exercise/metabolic testing methodology and develop training and exercise programs for diverse populations.
Uses nutritional science and physiology to focus on sport specific competition and training nutritional challenges and issues.
