The curriculum for this program includes:

You will learn functional keyboard skills and basic compositional methods, such as creating music through the keyboard and DAW interfaces.

You will learn the critical skills of music literacy and musical form and structure that support the study and creation of music in various contexts.

You will experience instruction in the basics of guitar and vocal performance; no prior experience is necessary as you develop these functional performance skills.

You will explore diverse musical cultures and traditions, along with the Western classical tradition, in engaging topic and project-based contexts.

In this class, you will explore the history, sound, and importance of jazz music.

Explore the fundamentals of music technology and the functions and opportunities in the professional recording studio environment.

Create electronic music, make beats, and gain hands-on experience manipulating digital music through professional DAW interfaces.
