The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Arts, Media and Entertainment program provides skills in criticism and evaluation of art forms, the processes by which art and creativity are communicated, and promotion and marketing in the performing arts. By developing a knowledge of art, music, media, cultural traditions, and popular culture, students will build a solid foundation for a variety of careers. Arts, Media and Entertainment graduates work in print media, film and television, theater, public relations, outreach and marketing. This focus theme is also good preparation for graduate studies in media arts, art history and cultural studies.
Interdisciplinary Studies, like many majors, teaches content and skills that can be applied to a wide variety of career fields.
As of Fall 2022, transfer students can apply up to 75 credits to their degree plan for Interdisciplinary Studies.

A survey of music in the rock era highlighting individuals, particular pieces of music, issues related to the role music plays in shaping social interaction and worldview.
The development of jazz in the United States.
Comparative study of literature and cinema as aesthetic media.
A strong foundation in the history and development of hip hop cinema. Major films, directors, and movements are studied within their historical, social, and cultural context, with a focus on the aesthetics of visual language and cinematic techniques.
