The curriculum for this program includes:
Learn about the preparation of silicon and compound semiconductor materials, bulk crystal growth, wafering, epitaxial growth, photolithography, doping, ion implantation, etching, oxidation, metallization, silicon, and compound semiconductor device processing.
This course aims to teach five different unit operations relevant to the fabrication of semiconductor devices. The unit operations that will be covered are: Thermal Oxidation, Lithography, Deposition, Plasma Etching, and Surface Preparation (Cleaning and Wet Etching).
This course will focus on presenting the basic semiconductor processes with direct environmental implications.
Learn about the exchange of scholarly information and/or secondary research, usually in a small group setting. Instruction often includes lectures by several different persons. Research projects may or may not be required of course registrants.
