Program Details

This fully online Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics program provides a strong foundation in nutritional biology, food science, and therapeutic diets, setting you up for success as a Registered Dietitian or in other rewarding nutrition-related careers. Develop expertise in medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, and food service management. Graduate with a DPD Verification Statement and the knowledge you need to make a real difference in people's lives.

Nutritional science examines the impact of nutrition and food on health and disease throughout the lifespan. Course topics include nutritional biology and metabolism, food science and safety, nutrition assessment, counseling and therapeutic diets. This program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), fulfills the education requirements for the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential. Upon completing this undergraduate program, you will earn your Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and your DPD Verification Statement. With our integrated Professional Master's in Applied Nutrition: Dietetics emphasis, you can efficiently complete both your bachelor's and master's degrees, potentially within the same 5-year timeframe as before.

This degree offers various fulfilling career options even without pursuing the RD credential. You can explore opportunities in food service management, community nutrition programs, health coaching, personal training, and more. This degree is also foundational in becoming a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) with additional certification.

Do you need a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Verification Statement but not a 4-year degree? Our DPD undergraduate certificate allows you to earn a verification statement as a non-degree-seeking student.

Beginning January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) has changed the degree requirement for dietitian registration eligibility from a Bachelor's degree to a Master's degree (in any field). In addition, a verification statement from an ACEND-accredited dietetics program is currently required.

*Residents of some U.S. Territories may not be eligible. Please see our Eligibility & State Authorization page for more information.
